	Any visit to Rome has to include The Coliseum, The Forum, The Pantheon... hearing about these ancient buildings is one thing - seeing them is something else.
	The columns on the left are the remnants of The Temple of Castor and Pollux, while at centre, is Severitus' Gate where Caracalla killed his brother to gain title as The Emperor! The six columns centre to right are all that remains of The Forum, of Julius Ceasar' fame..."et tu Brute".
	Ancient Rome is a marvel...the traffic in Rome is not! Our trips into the Tuscan Hills around Siena were enlightening and fruitful. The Frascatti was...mmmmmm! Some of the Italian products in our catalogue elicit that same enjoyment. Pewter and brass antique reproductions of superb craftsmanship, surprisingly, out of a small workshop.
				Then of course, there is Murano glass! We have a small amount in our web-store. Our next visit to Italy will not be concluded without a call upon Barovier and Toso, established in 1295 and confirmed as the oldest glass company in the world and still producing on the island of Murano, just a short boat ride into the Aegean from Venice. Did you know? Murano island glassmaker's of the 13th Century were so secretive about their glass recipe, a law was enacted making it illegal to leave the island!!!
