About The Artist: Shona Firman Consummate Artist, incredible techniques. Her new Works, have only been shown in New Zealand until now. They are now exclusively on our Site, and they are one-of-a-kind amazing items...
Shona will be conducting workshops in Canada on the art of Lost Wax Glass Casting, at Emma Lake Saskatchewan, and Red Deer College Alberta, as well as Whitehorse. She has worked in Hawaii and Canada. In 1980 she founded a small art related business. In 1976 she sailed to Rarotonga, Society Islands, Tahiti, and Hawaii... Her work has been influenced by NZ., Celtic and Cook Island cultures, Canoe forms, Tattooed Needle Fish, Frigate Birds, Tangaroas, Pacific Pods, Coconuts and Limpets. A reflection of our affinity with the sea and the Pacific. Same Canoe, different journey... |
